Synopsis

Rio de Janeiro, 1975. Inside a studio, several friends gather around a letter. As the words are spoken aloud, their meaning intensifies, offering a racialized perspective on memories of Brazil’s military dictatorship. In his debut feature, Yhuri Cruz brings echoes of a path that blends writing, theater, and visual arts to craft a hypnotic stage-like composition where body, word, sound, and silence come together as the foundations of a political voice that is powerfully cinematic.
