Synopsis

In her constant pursuit of what she called “cinécriture” – a uniquely cinematic way of writing the world – Varda offers an autobiographical reflection centered on the question that drives her through moving images: what, ultimately, is cinema to her? Through a carefully crafted montage of scenes and installations that revisit her own films, the director opens herself to the landscapes she carries both beneath her skin and before her eyes: the beach, the sea, and the boundless horizon of possibilities and emotions that cinema has brought into her life.
