Synopsis
Images and sounds of wildly different origins overlap and collide on screen. At its core lies the making of Brazil, rooted in its colonial and slaveholding past. The restless journey moves through violence, resistance, and the complex forces and contradictions that define the nation. In a bold montage that shifts between frenetic internet memes and moments of quiet reflection, veteran documentarian Ana Rieper turns her gaze toward contemporary Brazil, exposing and reopening old wounds.
