Synopsis
In a podcast episode, a man reflects on his childhood memories and the land where he grew up, now submerged by the creation of the Itaipu Hydroelectric Dam, which flooded Guaíra and the Sete Quedas waterfalls. His story takes us through images that evoke the devastation caused by the colonial ideology of progress. Ultimately, the ghost that haunts his past — and his mother’s — is the same one that haunts all of Latin America. (G.M.)
