Synopsis
Transgender journalist Leôncia seeks justice after the death of a friend, uncovering a web of secrets and a mysterious figure with strange powers. Co-directed by Th Fernandes and Lua Lambertti, the film portrays a tight-knit community that survives and settles its scores on its own terms, even if it means confronting the supernatural—or becoming part of it. Th Fernandes and Lua Lamberti are a Brazilian trans filmmaker duo focused on powerful, sensitive narratives connected to identity. TH is a filmmaker with experience in both documentary and fiction, creating works that explore social justice, memory, and LGBTQIAPN+ experiences. Lua makes her directorial debut with "Fabulosas – Operação Aranha", offering a poetic and bold perspective rooted in trans feminine experiences, community, and the surreal.
