Synopsis
Yoshii resells products online, buying low and selling high – too high. As more and more customers feel cheated, they band together to make him pay. In “Cloud”, Kiyoshi Kurosawa, one of Japan’s most acclaimed filmmakers, hones his craft in this action thriller with a distinct pace. The absurdity of modern life and the pursuit of revenge intertwine in a dangerous web of connections. (G.B.)

Kiyoshi Kurosawa
Kiyoshi Kurosawa is a filmmaker born in 1955 in Kobe. He gained international recognition with "Cure" (1997) and won the FIPRESCI Prize at Cannes for "Pulse" (2000). Since then, he has directed award-winning films such as "Tokyo Sonata", "Journey to the Shore", and "Wife of a Spy" (Silver Lion at Venice). He teaches film in Tokyo and is set to release three new films between 2024 and 2025, including "Cloud" (2024).
