Synopsis
At the Marambaia Police Station, Bryanna, better known as Americana, waits with her friends for questioning by the detective, who, like us — the viewers — must piece together what happened at the city playground, where chaos and confusion erupted in a fight that ended with the police getting involved. In a chaotic mix of different image formats, where meme culture serves both as a form of communication and confusion, the question remains: will Americana’s fate be determined by common sense or by the truths captured on a cellphone camera? (C.A.)
This film is a part of PGM and will be screened alongside We Made a Film, Fronteriza and Water Sports.
